All apps are 16 bit apps. What does this mean? Windows XP may not be happy with it because some software deletes a file called autoexec.nt from your system32 directory. For information on resolving this issue, check the microsoft help and support pages.

Report Capture Log

This program will capture print logs as if your computer were an IP Printer. This program can be helpful in reducing the paper used to store audit trails. Options to print to different directories based on port number are offered. This program will run on Windows 95.

Specimen Cache

The Specimen Cache is the specimen storage and retrieval program that many faciities are using. Download and run the setup program. Use the help file to learn how to configure the program. The program is most efficient when the computer it is installed on has a working barcode scanner.

**Specimen Cache update:  Due to SMART, other products on the market, and other life complications, Specimen Cache is no longer being updated or supported.  It is still a stable app and quite useful on a stand alone PC.  There are issues networking it, however.  Some sites have discovered that having a networked database is more useful and valuable than having a stand alone PC and have opted for another solution.  Therefore, if you want to still use Specimen Cache, you are welcome to on an unsupported freeware basis.  Below is the serial number and registration code to unlock the program.

The Standard Mumps Pocket Guide was originally produced by the Mumps Users' Group of Maryland in 1987. It has been an invaluable refrence with my style of learning and programming. George Johnson at Iowa Health Systems graciously took upon the task to digitize and format this handy reference into a Word document. Print it, put it in your PDA, make it into a HTML page... whatever you do I think it is a great reference. Good work George!
